Seller's Closing Checklist

Please bring the following items to closing:

  • Your Social Security Number

  • Your driver's license or other photo identification

  • Any original power of attorneys to be used at closing

  • If applicable, original inspection reports for termite, septic, and well.

  • If applicable, any repair invoices for items to be paid at the time of closing

  • House keys and garage door openers

  • Forwarding Address


For sale by owner:
  • You need to contact an attorney prior to finding a buyer. You need to determine what you need, and how to get there -- with the attorney's advice and a properly drawn contract

  • Termite letter: Every seller has to provide an acceptable Wood Infestation Report at closing. Order this within 30 days of closing

  • Provide the closing attorney with loan account number, name and phone number of your lender that currently has a loan on the property
